Scream Queens – TV

by on Sep.26, 2015, under Other Musings

So, just how good was Scream Queens? The outrageous comedy horror TV series from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning executive producers of GLEE and “American Horror Story.” Being Scream Queenstreated to 2 episodes on its launch evening, this show is a rollercoaster of sarcasm, gore, scorching dialogue and ingenious ways to die, with a killer cast which includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Nasim Perdad, Billie Lourde, Oliver Hudson, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell, Lucien Laviscount and Guest Starring Ariana Grande & Nick Jonas to name a few if not all.

The ‘Scream’ inspired TV series revolves around a college campus which has an unusual high number of gruesome murders, mostly within the desirable sorority house, Kappa Kappa Tau, which also holds a dark secret.

This is great stuff and pretty damn perfect and with two episodes viewed, i’m already a huge fan, but i just wonder how long this show can keep up the momentum. 2 episodes and maybe 15 deaths so far, we could soon run out of cast.

Wes Craven 1939-2015 – RIP

by on Aug.31, 2015, under Other Musings

I’ve said so many things about Wes Craven here. I’m not going to repeat myself, but please check out my Craven week from the project or search all references here. I think i covered all of his work as far as i can remember. He was the ultimate horror director, proficient, consistent and ground breaking, who reinvented horror several Craventimes during his career trying various avenues to scare an audience, some worked, others didn’t but he took those chances. He also championed women in cinema. Chainsaw’s too! Was he the first horror director to use a chainsaw as a weapon? Today is a very sad day, the day we have lost a huge talent. He’ll always be in my dream’s bringing me nightmares. RIP

Legacy – TV Series

by on Aug.21, 2015, under Other Musings

Here at 365Horror, we thrive on new talent and the exciting projects that might just be the next big, original, horror thing. One such project which has been brought to our attention is Legacy – a UK produced, post apocalyptic drama, set six months after a Z incident, written by the very talented Jay Podmore.
Legacy 02

So, what makes this different from all the other Zombie things filling our screens? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see, but from the shows website blurb, it sounds like this could be quite dark and juicy. We’ll let you know more, as and when, as we’ll be watching progress quite closely. I have a good feeling about this, but be sure to follow via Facebook.

Here’s the info:-

Civilization is plunged into darkness, as mankind faces extinction after a world changing, apocalyptic disaster, written by Jay Podmore, UK television series Legacy follows the adverse story of a tightly knit group of survivors, six months after the Earth shattering event.

The deafening silence of a decaying society is slowly twisting the balance of humanity, Isaiah, played by Gabriel Paul, will fight for survival, no matter the cost, whilst leader of the group Ethan, played by Neal Gavyn, is desperately clinging on to the hanging thread of morality, Ethan does everything in his power to protect his people but the group discover that a new evil walks among them and darkness begins to consume all hope. Also starring: Sara Woodruff, James Ledsham, Michael Hawkins, Katie King, Sam Walton and Jason Ricketts. Guest stars include: Niall Hogan, Nick Sheedy and Mikey Chartrey.
