Lord of Tears

Now this looks damn creepy. Owlman is coming to get you kids. British indie horror is alive and well with this, what looks like it could be a real gem. The film is virtually in the bag, but the producers have a bit of a Kickstarter thing on the go for promo and parties. If you like the look, throw them some of your cash. Here’s the blurb:-

Owl Man Lord of Tears is an independent British Chiller in the classic tradition of films such as The Wicker Man, The Innocents and The Haunting. Our story concerns a man trapped in a crumbling mansion in the misty highlands of Scotland on a mission to piece together a childhood clouded by repressed memories and dark secrets. All the while he is stalked by an owl-headed monster, the antagonist of his nightmares. Lord of Tears takes inspiration from classic mythology, Celtic folklore and modern legends such as those of Slender Man!” Screenwriter Sarah Daly

Whilst the film is to all intents and purposes finished, there is a Kickstarter page running to help“polish the film further, to complete our soundtrack product, to create marketing materials and reward products, to develop an exhibition campaign to get our film publicity, press screenings and to meet the costs of festival submission.” If you’d like to help out, click here. In the meantime, check out some stills and the trailer below.
