Set several years after the first outing, a bunch of College girls buy up the old house from the first film for a good price, having being left unsold for 5 years. The surprising thing is, how did these girls get into College? Bimbo springs to mind. The second thing which springs to mind, is who thought it would be a good idea to make a sequel after the first atrocity?
The story has changed. We get introduced to a creepy neighbour who offers the girls the back story. This time around it was the father, ‘Hockstatter’, that lost the plot, killed his wife and daughters, rather than the psycho son on his ‘Halloween’ homage. But is it Hockstatter we need to fear, returning for further victims, or the creepy neighbour, Orville Ketchum? (Peter Spellos)
This is not a bad film, it’s just cheep. The acting is light and fun and the gore is wet and red. Director Jim Wynorski has made a whole bunch of sequels,(976 Evil 2, Ghoulies 4) but is more famous for his latter glossy Hollywood tongue in cheek exploitation, Wiches of Breastwick, The Da Vinci Coed and Cleavagefield to name a few. The cats spend most of the film changing their lingerie and tip toeing around the house in the dark whilst lightning lights up the house. Robyn Harris, Melissa Moore, Stacia Zhivago, Barbii and Dana Bentley are the Sorority. Interesting though, the famous groupie, Shannon Wilsey makes a guest appearance. (Later involved in conspiracy suicide at the home of House of Pain’s Danny Boy)
Another thing to look out for is the psycho’s choice of weapon being a fish hook, used a few years prior to Candyman and I Know what you did…
