Sorority House Massacre

by on Jan.26, 2010, under Daily Review

Beth’s family are murdered by her psycho younger brother. She manages to hide and survive. He’s locked up in a mental unit. Years later, Beth (Angela O’Neill) heads off to Collage, not realising her new Sorority home is the house of her family massacre! This kind of triggers some mental link between her and her brother, who wants to finish the job he started.

This is quite a bad flick, lifting storyline from Halloween, and dream like sequences from Elm Street. The soundtrack is quite Elm Street too for that matter. The acting isn’t really up to much, O’Neill has little in the way of screen presence, but realistically, she is the only positive thing about this film. (She didn’t have much of a career in front of the camera, moving to Prop departments in the early 90’s) The script is also quite poor, but the direction is awful, paired with a dreadful plot. Makes difficult viewing. Director Carol Frank was never seen of again after this piece of tripe.
