A group of College girls decide to stay in their Sorority House over a closed weekend, despite threats from the home owner, Mrs Slater, played by the terrific Lois Kelso Hunt. After a prank goes wrong, the girls have a corpse on their hands, and a growing number of murders soon start to stack up. The Frat party must go on though.
This is a well shot film, Directed by Mark Rosman, (who has also written and Produced the remake), very good cast who work well with the script. Eileen Davidson and Kate McNeil (Vicki and Katey) both offer brilliant performances. Although the calibre of talent is high all round. Soundtrack offers much to the atmosphere too.
This film really should have more recognition as it’s offered much to the genre, obviously influencing Scream and Sorority House Massacre series’ amongst others. Plenty of solid stable slasher moments too. (Locker scene is impressive) and Vicki’s demise is real good. The film actually builds momentum with plenty of believable back story which leaves the viewer watching to a suspenseful climax: The bulbous head of the killer is quite terrifying, and the old head down the pad is class. Great invetive final murder too. Defiantly one not to be overlooked.
